Non-urgent advice: Update – please note

If you feel you have symptoms of an acute respiratory infection including possible COVID, please telephone Summerside Medical Centre on 0131 554 3533.
NHS24 on 111 is now the first point of contact for all those with COVID-19 related symptoms, which are cough, fever and/or loss of taste or smell.
Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak, the Practice is working differently for the foreseeable future.
If you require a GP appointment, please contact the surgery and the receptionist can book a routine telephone consultation. If you feel that it is urgent, please inform the receptionist so that you can be assessed on the day. The GP will only see you at the practice if they feel that this is necessary or they may organise a video consultation.
If you receive a letter requesting that you need to have tests, please contact the surgery and an appointment with the practice nurse can be arranged. Some chronic disease appointments, e.g. Asthma or COPD, may be postponed, but you will be invited for this as soon as we can.
Please wear a mask or face covering if coming to the surgery.
If you have a cough or fever, or changes to taste or smell, do not attend the practice under any circumstances.
