Where possible, we will try to accommodate your preference for a particular GP and also preference for morning or afternoon appointment. You will be asked your preference of a telephone appointment or a face-to-face appointment and we will always try our best to accommodate.

Advanced Nurse Practitioner Service.
We do try to ensure that enough same day appointments are available; however unforeseen circumstances may lead to sudden changes in demand. If all the appointments on a given day have been filled, and you have a medical problem which requires urgent treatment a doctor will triage this and arrange an urgent assessment if clinically indicated.
Please see our Urgent Problems and Out of Hours page for information.
Timekeeping
Our appointment system is utilised to maximum capacity. Patients are seen every 10 minutes for up to three hours. If you are late for your appointment this leads to knock on delays for every patient after you. We do expect patients to present at or before their appointed time. If you arrive 5 minutes late or more, you will not be seen, and will have to book another appointment.
At times we may experience delays due to patients experiencing complex medical or emotional problems. We will try to keep you informed of any delays when you arrive for your appointment. We will try to keep any delay to a minimum and would appreciate your patience. If you are concerned about the time, you have been waiting, (particularly if you are feeling very unwell) please let our reception staff know.
