Non-urgent advice: About your appointment

However you choose to contact us we may offer you a consultation:

By phone

Face to face at the surgery

On a video call

Appointments by phone or video call can be more flexible and often means the doctor or nurse can help you sooner.

Non-urgent advice: Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment there are a number of ways you can do this:

– Use Alliance Care, advise us of the appointment date and time you would like to cancel, the reason you’re cancelling.

– By responding to your text reminder

– You can manage your appointment on Patient Access, if you have it.

– You can use the NHS App, which can be downloaded for Android or iOS.

If your appointment is within the next 24 hrs, please ensure you call the practice to cancel your appointment.

Each month hours of GP and practice nurse time is wasted due to patients not turning up for their appointments. Ask at reception about signing up to our text reminder service.

You’ll receive a text message when you book your appointment and again 24-48 hours before your appointment.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online (111.nhs.uk) or call 111.

111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
