Prescriptions

Patients on regular repeat medication do not need to see the doctor for a prescription of their medicine unless a review is required.

You can request a repeat prescription by returning the tear off strip on the right hand side of the prescription to the surgery. Please tick the boxes against the medication you require. You may also post your request to the surgery. If you would like us to post your prescription back to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope.

To order online follow the link at the top of this page – you must register in person the first time you use the system.  To register bring two forms of identification to the reception desk.

Please allow two working days for prescriptions to be processed and signed before collection.

Some local chemists now offer a variety of repeat prescription services, including collection of the signed prescription from the surgery and a home delivery service for your medication. Please check with your preferred pharmacy which services they provide.

For patients safety we do not accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.

A post box for repeat prescriptions is situated on the surgery reception desk.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.

Online Repeat Prescriptions

If you are a patient aged 16 years or over, you can now order your repeat prescription using our internet booking service. Once registered for the internet service you can also book a routine appointment with your GP.

If you haven’t registered yet you will need to visit our reception desk to sign up for the service. You will need to do this yourself in person and bring with you some form of ID such as photo driving licence or passport.

You can register online by clicking the link below, but you will still need to come into the surgery with a form of ID to be able to complete the process and use the service.
