We Support Genes & Health Research
Help us improve health in Huddersfield
We are excited to announce that The Grange will be hosting the Genes & Health research study team from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). This research study is set to take place in our clinic starting Monday, 18 November 2024, and will continue till 5th December 2024.
The Genes & Health study aims to advance medical knowledge by examining how genetics impacts health outcomes in specific communities, with a particular focus on those of Pakistani and Bangladeshi origin. Through voluntary participation, eligible patients can contribute valuable information that could lead to improved treatments and healthcare strategies tailored to these communities.
Participation is simple and involves providing a saliva sample and answering couple of questions. Eligible patients aged 16 and above may be approached by our staff or by a member of the research team during their visit to the practice between 18th November to 5th December 2024 (Mondays and Thursdays)
At Grange Medical Practice, we are proud to support initiatives like Genes & Health that can lead to better health outcomes for our patients and broader communities. We encourage all eligible patients to participate and play an active role in helping shape the future of healthcare and understand your health better.
