Urgent Eye Service

The Covid-19 Urgent Eye care Service (CUES) is free to access and is for anyone with

  • Flashes or floaters,
  • A red eye,
  • Sore/painful eye,
  • A sudden change in vision, or
  • Foreign bodies.

The service is predominately delivered over the phone or video consultation, and so far 200 people have used the service and the vast majority (85%) have been managed exclusively within it, without the need for onward referral to primary or secondary care.
