Dr A J Walling (m) Our senior partner. MB ChB, MRCGP (Dist), BSc, DFSRH
Dr Walling is the GP trainer for our GP trainees and responsible for the overall support of the different trainees in our advanced training practice. He undertakes joint injections and oversees our care home service. He is keen on using digital solutions to improve the services we offer and patients to better manage their health. He has been a GP partner at the practice since 2007 and enjoys working with our dynamic, enthusiastic team.
Dr S J Nathan (f) Partner. MB ChB, MRCGP, BSc, DFSRH
I have a special interest in women’s health. I have been at the practice since 2009 and enjoy the shared working and team approach we have. Dr Nathan is the safeguarding and prescribing lead for the practice. Along with performing Minor Surgery injections. Mentor for our Foundation Year trainee GPs.
Dr I E Carmichael (f) Salaried Doctor – MBBS (distinction, MRCGP, DRCOG, SFSRH
Dr Carmichael joined the Practice in March 2017 and is a really experienced GP. She has a special interest in women’s health.
Dr C Burnell-Hornby (f) Salaried Doctor – MRCGP, MBChB (hons), BSC (hons)
Dr Burnell-Hornby has been with the practice since 2017 as a salaried GP. Dr Burnell-Hornby completed some of her GP training with the practice as a Foundation Year 2 GP in 2010 and once qualified worked at the practice as a maternity locum and then returned on a permanent basis as a salaried GP. She is our MDT lead ensuring our patients with complex end of life needs are met liaising with a wider multi-disciplinary team.
Dr C Page (f) Salaried Doctor – MB B
Dr Page was previously our registrar and on completing her GP training with the Practice joined the Practice as a salaried GP in April 2021. Dr Page has a specialist interest in women’s health and 6-8 weeks for our mums and babies.
Dr S Twine (f) Salaried Doctor. MRCGP, MBChB, aFSRH
Dr Twine joined the Practice in April 2022. Dr Twine has a specialist interest in women’s health, especially contraception, menopause and subfertility. Dr Twine can also perform Joint Injections.
Advanced Clinical Practitioner
E Morgan (f)
Edie joined the practice in June 2021 having previously worked alongside the surgery with the East Leeds Home visiting team in 2016. Edie has previously worked in the community as part of the District Nursing team. She is a fully qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioner with a wealth of experience. Edie leads in supporting our frail and care home patients.

B Docherty (f) – Nurse Prescriber Senior Nurse Manager
Briony undertook one of her student nurse placements with the Practice and worked as a Healthcare Assistant whilst completing her nurse training. Having completed her nursing degree, Briony joined the Practice on a permanent basis. Briony has recently passed her Nurse Prescribing exams. Briony is also our nurse manager and oversees the nursing team at the practice and supports the management team with the day to day running of the practice.N Brodie (f) – Practice Nurse
Nicola joined the Practice in April 2023 and has made the moved from secondary care. Since joining the Practice she has embraced the opportunity to undertake further training to develop her skills as a Practice Nurse in Primary Care. Nicola has a passion for supporting our diabetic patients with there long term care.
L Hague (f) – Practice Nurse
Louise joined the Practice as a receptionist in 2011. The Practice values staff development and Louise became a healthcare assistant at the practice as part of an apprenticeship scheme. As further progression with the Practice, Louise has now completed a 4 year Nursing Degree and Qualified in May 2024 with first degree honours. Louise will now join the Nursing Team as a fully qualified nurse.

Jo joined the Practice as a receptionist. The Practice values staff development and Jo took up the opportunity to train as a Healthcare Assistant and brings a wealth of experience to the practice.

Samantha joined the practice in April 2022 Samantha has a background of working in the hospital setting and has been progressing in her training with the practice with long term conditions.

Administration
Our Admin team deal with incoming discharge notes, consultant letters and electronic communications from the hospitals. As well as working closely with the GPs and reception team in co-ordinating referrals, maintaining patient records and GP and nurse rotas.
