Community Midwives
Sister Maxine Caldcleugh
Community Midwife
The Practice provides antenatal and postnatal care.
The community midwife attached to the Practice sees expectant mothers, arranges relaxation classes and visits mother and baby after delivery.
Community Nurses
In addition to our own Practice Nurses we have attached Community Nurses who can help with various problems, usually in the home. They do run certain surgery clinics where feasible but these are not held at New Southgate Surgery.
The nurses may be contacted on 01924 327591.
Health Visitors
A Health Visitor is a Registered Nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under the age of 5 with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
Health Visitors can be contacted via Outwood Surgery on 01924 786251.
