Travel Health Services

Our nurses can arrange to give appropriate immunisations available from the NHS. We do not provide travel advice or private travel vaccines and suggest patients research the area they are travelling to and look at the Travel Health Pro website to see which vaccines they need.

The following vaccines are available in the surgery, however a travel form must be completed 8 weeks before departure:
– Diphtheria
– Tetanus
– Polio
– Hepatitis A
– Typhoid

The following vaccines are not available on the NHS and will need to be provided by a private travel clinic:
– Hepatitis B (adult)
– Hepatitis B (child)
– Meningitis ACWY
– Japanese Encephalitis
– Tick-borne Encephalitis
– Rabies and Yellow Fever

All anti-malaria medications are provided privately. If recommended a private prescription can be issued at a cost of £15 and the cost of the medication will be payable to the pharmacy.

If you need NHS vaccines please print and complete the travel form (below) and bring to the practice, allowing 8 weeks before departure. Vaccines need time to take effect and some may require a course over several weeks.

Please note: you must be a registered patient at our Practice to receive travel vaccines from us.

  • If you are travelling in less than 8 weeks time you will need to attend a private travel clinic.
