We have seen an increasing amount of DNA (did not attend)/missed appointments at the practice. We have consulted with our Patient Participation Group (PPG) and reviewed local practices policies and will be implementing a new policy to ensure that we can provide an efficient and effective service to all of our patients. Any patient who fails to attend 3 appointments within a 12 month period will be eligible for removal from the practice list. No patient will be removed from the practice list without due consideration of their individual circumstances and reasons for non-attendance. The purpose of this policy is not to penalise patients with valid medical reasons for non-attendance but to ensure that we can provide timely care to all of our patients.
