Appointments

How to make an appointment

We run a ‘total triage’ system at Wellspring, which means all requests are reviewed by one of our team to provide the best and most appropriate care for your need.

How to book

The NHS App is the easiest way to contact us – see below for further details. You can also use the following link if you cannot use the NHS App: https://florey.accurx.com/p/c84072

You can use either of these methods to submit medical requests (i.e. if you have a new or ongoing medical problem you would like help with), or administrative queries (e.g. sick notes, blood test results, etc.). Please ensure you select the most appropriate option; if you submit an administrative query when your issue is medical, you may be asked to resubmit your request.

Please see the video below for a short demonstration on how easy it is to use the NHS App:

What if I can’t use the NHS App or the website link?

If you cannot access the NHS App, or submit a request via the website, our reception team can complete the relevant questionnaires on the phone with you. All information is treated as confidential whether received by telephone or electronically.

What happens once I have submitted my request?

Following receipt of your request, you may be contacted by one of our clinical or administrative teams with further advice or an appointment.

We aim to manage most queries the same day they are received; if you are requesting an appointment, please make sure you are available to attend the practice the same day. If you are not available, please submit your request on a day when you are. If your request is received after 4pm it may be processed on the next working day.

Can I book an appointment in advance?

Because we aim to deal with everything on the same day, we no longer offer advance booking of appointments for GPs. You can still book routine appointments with our practice nurses and clinical pharmacists, for things like injections, cervical screening, health checks, and medication reviews. To book an appointment for either of these teams, please contact our reception team on 0115 9505907.
