Urgent appointments
If you need an urgent same day appointment please tell the receptionist when you phone and you will be seen as an emergency by the first available doctor.
To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):
- phone us on 0115 9877604, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6pm
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Routine appointments
We will always try to give you the earliest appointment but if you wish to see a specific doctor it may be necessary to wait a day or so.
If you have more than one medical problem to discuss with your doctor please book one ten minute appointment for each problem. This is to ensure you have enough time with the GP and appointments do not run late. When you book your appointment let our receptionists know you require a longer appointment to discuss more than one condition and they will sort this out for you. To book your appointment, contact the surgery during normal opening hours. Please be aware that the appointment may take place at another GP Practice in the area.
Monday evening appointments are strictly pre-arranged.
To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
Out of Hours Services
Outside normal surgery hours (evenings, weekends and bank holidays) emergency cover for the practice is provided by NEMS Community Benefit Services Ltd Out of Hours service. The Out of Hours service provides medical care for patients that do not need Emergency Department Care. It is a service that is led by a range of clinical staff such as GPs, Nurses, Advanced Nurse Practitioners and Emergency Care Practitioners.
This service is for problems which cannot wait until the next available surgery. You will be required to provide full information about your problem and will be expected if required to attend Platform One Practice (based on Station Street, Nottingham) if necessary. Advice may also be given if attending for a face to face appointment is not deemed to be required.
During out of hours you should contact the NHS 111 service if you urgently need medical help or advice but it is not a life threatening situation.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling 0115 9877604 before 10:30.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
Referrals – Choose & Book
When you and your GP agreed that you need an appointment with a specialist, Choose and Book shows your GP which hospitals or clinics are available for your treatment. Your GP will discuss with you the appropriate options which are available for treating your medical condition.
