Urgent (Triage) Appointments/Queries

For a same day response or to request an urgent (Triage) appointment (Monday to Friday), use our automated messaging service, online consultation form from 7am or speak with a member of staff from 8am through to 10am:

  • Phone us on 01263 733693 or 01603 870271 and select option 4 from the main menu to speak with a member of staff.

Please note that any patient requesting a same day response after 10am will be redirected to use NHS 111 online or call 111.

Please note: Triage is used to perform a preliminary assessment of patients in order to determine the urgency of their need for treatment and the nature of treatment required. If a clinician determines an appointment in person is most appropriate, they will advise of this, the best person for you to see and the time frame you should be seen by, either directly or through our admin team. In many circumstances we can provide a full consultation via telephone or online however, you can always request to be seen in person if this is preferred.

Routine Appointments/Queries

To request a routine appointment or have a query:

  • Use the NHS App or SystmOnline account to book a GP routine telephone appointment or blood test (account registration required, available 24/7).
  • Use our Online Consultation Form where you can request medication, test results, letters for NHS and non-NHS work, fit/sick notes, amend/cancel appointments and/or submit subject access requests. You can also ask about medication you are taking, provide information to add to your medical record and/or request appointments for our Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants & Phlebotomist. Available 24/7 and we will respond within two working days.
  • Phone us on 01263 733693 or 01603 870271 and select option 2 to use our automated messaging service. Available 24/7 and we will respond within two working days.
  • Phone us on 01263 733693 or 01603 870271 and select option 4 from the main menu to speak with a member of staff. Available 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 6.30pm.
  • Visit either surgery to speak with a receptionist. Available 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 6.30pm.

When you get in touch for either urgent or routine appointments, we’ll ask what you need help with. We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable health professional of service to help you.

Appointments by phone, online or video call can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner. Please note we may also provide you with information separate or in addition to a consultation via text message or email.

Cancelling or Changing an Appointment

You can cancel any appointments:

  • Using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)
  • Using our GP online system: SystmOnline (account registration required, available 24/7)
  • Phone us on 01263 733693 or 01603 870271 and select option 4 from the main menu to speak with a member of staff. Available 10am to 1pm & 2pm to 6.30pm.

You can cancel appointments more than two working days ahead:

  • Using our Online Consultation Form (available from Monday 31st March 2025)
  • Phone us on 01263 733693 or 01603 870271 and select option 2 to use our automated messaging service and available 24/7.

Extended Access

The surgery offers extended opening hours on Tuesday & Thursday evening from 18:30-20:00 and on Saturdays 09:00-17:00. You may be asked to go one of our PCN practices (Coltishall / Drayton Medical Practice or Market Surgery, Aylsham). We also have available additional capacity for telephone appointments on Monday & Friday evenings – with clinicians also from our PCN practices as well as our own.

The above service is provided on a shared basis where additional appointments are available at each site on a four weekly turn-around. If you would like to request these, please check availability when booking. Please note these appointments are currently provided by General Practitioners (GPs) and Advanced Nurse Practitioners (ANPs) and therefore do not apply to general nursing needs. You may be asked for your reason to book so that we can ascertain it is placed with the appropriate clinician.

Home Visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will make a home visit. We ask that you call us 8am – 10am so that we can manage a same day response if needed.
