If you have any special needs or require any of the following services, please let or staff know so that we can help and ensure you get the same support in the future.
Wheelchair Access
Our purpose built surgery has been specially designed to make it easier for disabled patients to visit. There are no steps at the entrance of the building, giving patients easy wheelchair access if required. There are several dedicated disabled car parking spaces available immediately outside the front entrance of the surgery.
We have wheelchairs available for patient use near reception should you require one whilst visiting our premises and there is a lower, wheelchair friendly counter at the reception desk. Personal mobility scooters are not permitted in the building for health and safety reasons. We ask that patients leave their personal mobility scooters at the front entrance where they can be seen by the reception staff and are covered by CCTV. There is lift access available to each floor.
Please note that patient coordinators are not able to transfer patients or push them in wheelchairs. If you require help then you will need to ensure that you have someone able to support you when visiting the practice.
Disabled toilets are available throughout our locations.
Loop System
There is a loop induction system at both the reception and dispensary desks to assist the hearing impaired. We can also arrange for this facility to be used during your consultation, please let reception know you wish to do so on arrival.
For more information on the loop hearing system, please visit the
Hearing Link website.
Blind/Partially Sighted
If you or family members are blind or partially sighted, we can give you a large print copy or a braille version of our practice leaflet upon request. Please ask at reception for further information.
Guide Dogs
Guide dogs are welcome at the surgery but we ask that you be aware of other patients and staff who may have an allergy or fear of dogs. Guide dogs remain the responsibility of their owner at all times when on the premises.
Translation Service – DA Languages
Please let us know if English is not your first language and if you would benefit from using an interpreter. We will make a note of this on your records. We can arrange for an interpreter to be provided through the DA Languages service in advance and your appointment need not be unduly delayed.
Walsingham Branch Surgery
There are no stairs for patients to negotiate at our branch surgery, nor are there any steps. Should you require assistance with wheelchair access, the use of a Hearing Induction Loop, or anything else, please make us aware when you request an appointment.
