Great Yarmouth Unity Project (GYUP)

About GYUP

The Great Yarmouth Unity Project (GYUP) is a Community Interest Company (CIC) created to strengthen connections across Great Yarmouth and the surrounding villages — from Winterton and Repps in the north, through St Olaves and Hopton, and along the coast through Gorleston and Hemsby.

Our aim is simple: bring people together.
We unite individuals, grassroots groups, local charities, and organisations to share knowledge, experience and energy — so we can make a bigger impact, together.

Their Mission:

We believe in community-led action that’s inclusive, responsive, and full of energy.
GYUP exists to:

✅ Support and amplify local initiatives that benefit our communities
✅ Foster collaboration across sectors and groups
✅ Empower diverse voices and promote inclusion
✅ Connect skills, ideas, and opportunities where they’re needed most

Meet Dr Sarah Flindall

I am a GP working in Great Yarmouth. I believe that the society we live in does not make us healthy.

This means that, as a doctor, I am diagnosing, and treating conditions that develop and deteriorate because of the impact of life style and stress on mental and physical health. Unless these underlying  problems are addressed there will not be enough resources to help our population especially our young, older and vulnerable members.
