Dr Helen Sweeney

Helen has been a GP partner in Small Heath in East Birmingham since 1997 and a GP trainer since 2008. She believes having the voice of a regular GP on the board is essential. She understands the regulatory environment and also manages the seemingly inexhaustible patient need. Helen believes that OHP should continue to develop the core offer to support practices and have a strong voice in scrutinising the impact of other parts of the NHS on our work, pushing back where needed. As a GP trainer, she can harness her knowledge of the needs and aspirations of trainees to help support future workforce development.
