Spring COVID-19 Vaccinations at Fernville Surgery
For the first time, Fernville Surgery will be offering the COVID-19 vaccine directly from the surgery, administered by our nursing team.
Appointments will be available from 1st April 2025, and we have begun inviting eligible patients to book their vaccination.
Who is Eligible?
This year’s spring COVID-19 booster is available to:
✔️ Adults aged 75 and over (including those who will be 75 by 17th June 2025)
✔️ Residents in care homes for older adults
✔️ People with a weakened immune system who are at greater risk of severe illness
The spring booster campaign is a much smaller cohort than the autumn campaign, focusing on those at the highest risk.
Vaccine Information
We will be administering the Moderna Spikevax COVID-19 vaccine. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer an alternative vaccine.
Why Get Vaccinated?
Evidence shows that individuals who receive the spring COVID-19 booster are 40% less likely to be admitted to hospital with the virus in the following two months.
We encourage all eligible patients to book their appointment as soon as possible. If you are eligible, you will receive an invitation to schedule your vaccination.

We are currently in the process of inviting eligible patients to book their appointments at the surgery via an online booking link, or you can call us on 01442 213919 and select option 1.
