Other Ways to Order Your Prescriptions
- In Person:
Tick the medication you require on the tear off slip from your previous prescription. Bring the tear off slip to the surgery and leave it in the prescriptions box. Please allow at least 2 full working days before coming to collect your prescription. - By Post:
Post the computerised repeat prescription slip indicating the medication you require to the surgery, enclosing a stamped self addressed envelope. If posting please remember to use a secure, tracked postal service and give at least one weeks notice for first class and longer if using second class. - Pharmacy:
Some of the local pharmacies offer a collection service for the surgery. Please ask your regular pharmacist for details. Please also see our Repeat Prescription Dispensing section.
Due to the possibility of errors, requests for repeat prescriptions will not be taken over the telephone.
When will my Prescription be ready?
Due to exceptional demand for prescriptions at present we will be temporarily extending our repeat prescription turnaround from 48 to 72 hours (3 days), excluding weekends and bank holidays.
Any prescription requests received after 3pm will be regarded as having been submitted the next working day
Going on Holiday?
If you are going on holiday or there is a Bank holiday coming up, please order your repeat prescriptions earlier, still giving us the normal two working days to generate and get it checked and signed by the Doctors.
Repeat Dispensing
If you are on the same medication regularly and use the same pharmacy then under this scheme you can get you repeat prescriptions direct from your pharmacy, rather than getting them from your surgery each time.

Electronic Prescriptions Service
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS service. It gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescription to the place you choose to get your medicines or appliances from.
Prescription Charges and Exemptions
The NHS prescription charge is a flat rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can’t afford to pay for their medicines.
Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need a lot of medication.
