Childhood Vaccinations

  • Vaccination helps to protect your child against potentially serious diseases.

You can make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse during the week.

Adult Vaccinations

Tetanus
Polio (maximum 5 per lifetime)
For all adults up to and including 24 years of age not previously vaccinated.
Yearly for those with:
– Chronic respiratory disease including asthma
– Chronic renal failure
– Diabetes Mellitus
– Coronary Heart disease, Stroke/TIA
– Weakened immune systems
– Aged over 65 years
– Residents of nursing homes or residential homes for the elderly
Single dose for those with:
– Sickle cell disease
– Coeliac syndrome
– Chronic lung disease
– Chronic Heart disease
– Chronic Liver disease including cirrhosis
– Diabetes Mellitus
– Or over 65 years

Every 5 years for those who have had their spleen removed.

Holiday Vaccinations

We provide all holiday vaccines.

Please collect and complete a form from reception, this will be given to our Practice nurses who can advise you what vaccinations are necessary for your destination. Please arrange this well in advance as it takes 4 to 6 weeks to complete the course of some vaccinations.

  • Please also be aware that there is a charge for holiday vaccinations – this cost includes the vaccination, administration of the vaccine and the necessary certification need for travel.
