If you live in England and are aged 18 or over, you can access NHS talking therapies services for anxiety and depression. In Islington, this is provided by iCope for adults 18+.

NHS talking therapies services offer:
– talking therapies, such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), counselling, other therapies, and guided self-help
– help for common mental health problems, like anxiety and depression.

Islington Mind helps people (adults 18 +) with mental health concerns to connect to their support networks and communities. The service offers:
Socialising opportunities and peer support groups
Daily group activities to promote wellbeing, develop skills and outings
Talking therapies and psychosocial support
Support for individuals returning to the community from mental health hospitals or crisis centres.

For children and young people 0-18 years living in Islington, any referrals made are triaged and referred to the most appropriate children and young person’s service across Islington.

Referrals can be made by GPs or other professionals. The service also accepts referrals from young people, parents and carers via the phone 02075273355.

Samaritan is a charity that offers a free, confidential listening service to anyone, any time – day or night. They support people with all sorts of concerns, that may be something new or old.

If you have been struggling to cope and need extra support, the Samaritans are here to listen.

You can call their free phone number, email, write a letter or arrange to speak to a Samaritan face to face.

Offer a flexible service with advice and support, for people (12 year +) who wish to stop smoking. They offer face to face support, as well as telephone and via video link.

The Archway Centre offers FREE and CONFIDENTAIL sexual health services, this includes contraception, PrEP and assessment and treatment of sexual health symptoms and infections.

You can book online, walk-in (only for emergency contraception emergency PEP treatment) or call the help line (only for patients who need an interpreter or have a disability that requires additional assistance).

Pulse sexual health clinic can help yoing pepl agreed 13-20 with free, confidential advice, information and support.
They offer:

Pregnancy testing
Emergency contraception
Sexual health check-ups and treatments for infections (STIs)
Contraception – condoms, lube, pills patches etc.

You can drop in on weekdays from 12:00 to 18:00.

Whittington MSK service provides assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal disorders for individual 18+ across 7 sites in Islington and Harringay.

You can self-refer into the service, without speaking to your GP first.
