Weight loss services
Killick Street Health Centre is currently unable to prescribe weight loss medications such as Mounjaro® or Wegovy®. These are only available through specialist NHS services.
At the moment, there are no NHS services available that we can refer you to for weight loss injections. However, we can still refer eligible patients for weight loss (bariatric) surgery if needed.
Why can’t I get these medications from my GP?
Weight loss medications such as Tirzepatide (Mounjaro®) and Semaglutide (Wegovy®) are not currently available in North Central London. We are working on our approach to the delivery of weight loss medicines locally. Please note that when this service is made available in North Central London, it will initially only be available to a small number of people who meet criteria set by NHS England for those most at risk of obesity related health conditions.
Please do not contact your GP about weight loss medication at this time, any updates will be made available via this page. Further information about these medications is available below.
What can I do instead?
We encourage you to explore options that are already available. The NHS website provides advice and information to patients about improving their lifestyle and losing and managing their weight safely by eating a healthy, balanced diet and regular physical activity. Further information about weight loss treatment is available via the NHS website.
You also may wish to consider the weight loss programmes detailed below that are available in North Central London. Further details on local services in your area can also be found through Making Every Contact Count Link London.
