We understand that sometimes it becomes necessary to cancel a booked appointment. However, we kindly request that you inform us as soon as possible if you are unable to attend your appointment.
Why is it important to cancel promptly?
- Wasted Appointments: Each missed appointment takes away a valuable opportunity for another patient who needs care.
- Increased Pressure on the NHS: Missed appointments contribute to increased pressure on the NHS and can lead to longer waiting times for other patients.
According to NHS England:
- Millions of GP appointments are missed each year.
- The cost of missed appointments to the NHS is significant.
How to Cancel an Appointment:
Cancel via your appointment reminder text message: If you receive an appointment reminder via text message and need to cancel, please reply to the text message with the word “CANCEL”
Cancel your appointment via the NHS app: To cancel an appointment booked through the NHS App, simply log in to the app and navigate to your appointments. You should find an option to cancel the appointment within the appointment details.
