New Patient Registration

Registration Currently Capped

We regret to inform you that, due to current pressures on the practice, we have taken the decision to limit the number of new patient registrations at Pound Hill Medical Group.

This means the patient registration process will operate in a different way and could involve registering with an alternative practice.

For assistance with finding a GP Surgery in Sussex, please contact the NHS Sussex GP Allocations Teams by email sxicb.gpallocations@nhs.net stating the full names of everyone who needs to register, and your full address, including postcode.  Alternatively you can call 0300 140 9855. The team will provide you with the available practice options and arrange for an allocation if necessary.

However, we will continue to register the following patients in the usual way:

  • Newborn or adopted babies of parents already registered at the Practice who are still living within our boundary.
  • First degree relatives of patients already registered at the Practice who are living at the same address as registered patients and are still living within our boundary.

How to Register

To register as a patient with this Practice you need to be living within the Pound Hill, Worth and Copthorne areas. You can click below to see a map and check if your address falls within our catchment area.

Once you have your allocation letter

  • If you can’t register online, you can come into the surgery to fill out a paper form. Please bring your allocation letter with you.
  • If you’re registering in person, it’s helpful if you can bring some photo ID and proof of address with you. This helps us match up your records to the NHS database.

Non-urgent advice: Patient Notice

If you need to see a doctor before you can provide this information, you will be directed to the Urgent Care Centre at Crawley Hospital who will be able to help.

Once you’re registered:

  • Download the NHS App and your NHS account – NHS (www.nhs.uk)
The NHS App gives you a simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services. You may be able to verify your own ID. If you need our help to set you up, please come into the surgery with ID.
  • We can’t sign patients up for online registration without seeing them in person with ID
We are proud to be a safe surgery for everyone in our community. We will make sure that a lack of ID or proof of address, immigration status or language do not prevent patient registration. Everyone is entitled to primary care in England, no matter your citizenship or immigration status. We will ensure that our practice offers a welcoming space for everyone who seeks to use our services.
