GP Registrars

Doctors under supervision, training to be a GP. 

Gudge Heath Lane has 6 GPs who are trained to supervise GP Registrars. Drs. Maguire, Cousins, Tan, Owen, Elliott and Zamfir.

GP Registrars are fully qualified Doctors, who are specialising in General Practice and are required to do a years under training/supervision in a GP Surgery.

In addition to their normal role, the Practice Nurses also run specialist clinics, e.g. Cervical Smear, Chronic Disease Management (like asthma and diabetes), and immunisations etc. Consultations by appointment only.

Supported by the Operations Manager – is responsible for the day to day running of the practice. They can be contacted if there are any problems or comments regarding provision of medical services.

Receptionists / Administrators

These staff have a very demanding job. They are not doctors but giving them an outline of the problem for your request would be helpful.

The staff will treat you with courtesy and respect, but since their job can be stressful, difficult and a busy one, we would ask you to reciprocate the courtesy and respect, to allow the staff to give you their full commitment and cooperation.

Community & District Nurses

The community nursing team is based locally and you can contact them on 02382 313350 (please note if you need a district nurse referral you will need to contact the GP surgery).

Health Visitors – are qualified registered nurses who specialise in child and family health, child development and child protection issues. Tel 01489 554930.
