How To Order and Track Your Repeat Prescriptions

Posted by: philheiden - Posted on:

Dear Patients,

We are currently experiencing a high volume of calls regarding repeat prescriptions. To save time, you can easily track the status of your repeat prescription request through the NHS App. Instructions, both in video and written form, are provided below.

Please allow three working days (excluding weekends) for us to process your prescription and send it electronically to your chosen pharmacy.

Our preferred method for requesting repeat prescriptions is via the NHS App.

Remember, it is your responsibility to order your medication in advance. We cannot be held accountable for delays within the three-day processing window.

Once your prescription is approved and sent to the pharmacy, we have no control over the time it takes for them to dispense it.

If the NHS App shows the status as “approved” or “issued,” please do not contact the Practice, as we are unable to follow up on the pharmacy’s behalf. In these cases, please contact the pharmacy directly (phone or visit).

If a medication request is being rejected or further information is required, we will contact you directly.

We kindly ask that you take this message onboard to avoid overwhelming our phone lines with requests we cannot assist you with. Our aim is to reduce call waiting times for patients with urgent medical needs.
