Returning to Wearing Masks for Respiratory Illnesses
There are numerous respiratory illnesses circulating at the moment including Flu and COVID which have caused outbreaks in the community and increased pressure on healthcare services.
In line with updated NHS guidance, to help prevent spread, our staff will be returning to wearing face masks when consulting with patients with respiratory symptoms. If you are one of these patients, please do consider wearing a mask if you are coming in to see us.
Wearing a mask helps prevent transmission and reduces the risk of passing on the virus to other vulnerable patients who may be in the waiting room and also to our staff.
Most simple viral illnesses do not require any treatment other than rest, over the counter cold/flu medicines and plenty of fluids. Your local community Pharmacy will be able to assist. Always seek medical advice if concerned.
