UCC (Urgent Care Centre) update – June 24

As you may know, Hedge End Medical Centre and Blackthorn Health Centre intend to open an Urgent Care Centre (UCC) which will operate at our Lowford Centre site. This will enable us to access new funding that will allow us to employ more Advanced Care Practitioners (ACPs). ACPs are experts in managing a range of minor illnesses. Increasing our capacity in this way will mean patients who have more complex conditions can be seen more quickly by their GP.

We are actively recruiting to these new roles now and intend to open the UCC as soon as we have enough staff in place.
