Online Consultation: eConsult

Guidance for Patients

From 20th March 2023 to ensure e-Consults are dealt with in a timely manner there will be a limited number of slots available.

E-Consult is a remote online version of a consultation. It can be a useful way to seek advice regarding your health.

It is more likely to be a successful online consultation if:

  • you can be clear and specific about your concern, query or request
  • you can include the necessary information requested
  • you can attach an image where relevant e.g. skin condition, taking care not to include any intimate areas

We will acknowledge receipt of your e-consult within 24 hours. On average, e-consults are seen by a clinician within 1-7 days.

If you are completing a medication review, blood pressure review or pill check online, please ensure that you include your current height, weight and blood pressure reading. If you do not have a blood pressure machine at home, you can attend the health pod at North Baddesley Surgery, or your local pharmacy may be able to do this for you.

If you feel that your health concern is complex, requures a physical examination, or you would like to speak with or see a doctor face to face, then please book an appointment with a doctor at the surgery. This can be done online via our website or by contacting reception.

Joint or limb problem?

If you have a problem with your joints or limbs (a musculoskeletal problem) then you may consider booking an appointment with our First Contact Musculoskeletal Practitioner for assessment. This can be done via reception.

Acutely unwell?

If you are acutely unwell, please make an urgent appointment via reception or by booking online. If you are unable to contact the surgery, for example outside of opening hours, then we would suggest contacting 111 for advice. If you have a medical emergency please call 999.
