Asthma can be a frightening condition but we aim to optimise your asthma control so that you are able to use the minimum amount of medication to manage your problem well.
Come and see us in surgery, or see our dedicated asthma nurse to discuss your management and get your annual check up. You will also need to be seen annually to have any existing prescriptions updated.
We offer telephone consultations by appointment to discuss medication questions and give advice.
If you feel your asthma is well controlled and you do not need to speak to the asthma nurse, please complete the questionnaire below. Please click on the “Access SystmConnect” button below and select “Health review”.
At the end of the Questionnaire, you will be given a score. If your Asthma Control Test score is 20 or above, you have good control, and your medications will be updated by the Asthma nurse. Your next review will be due in your birthday month.
If your Asthma Control Test score is below 20 this indicates poor control, and you will need to book an appointment with the Asthma Nurse to review your medications before they can be renewed.
