Know Where To Go

Consider the range of services available to you and use the NHS responsibly.

Urgent appointments

If you are unwell and need to be seen the same day, please contact the practice. Urgent appointments will be added to the Duty Doctors appointment list for that day. These appointments cannot be booked online.

To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):

  • phone us on 01344 457535, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

  • Please note our receptionists are not able to allocate any GP appointments. The Clinician will triage your request for a further plan of action. Save the call to the surgery and make the best use of pharmacy and online consultations, if your concern is of a non-urgent nature.

Routine appointments

First, please check if your illness can be treated by a pharmacist.

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • use our appointment request form – we will deal with your request before the end of the next working day
  • use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination

If you cannot use the online consultation, please:

  • phone us on 01344 457535, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

To cancel your appointment:

If you fail to attend three consecutive appointments, you may be removed from the Practice list and will have to find an alternative doctor.

If you need help when we are closed

Out-of-hours services are generally busy – if your query is of a non-urgent nature and you can wait until the surgery reopens, we advise you to use our online consultation service instead and get a response from the practice before the end of the next working day.

Most injuries when they are urgent but not life threatening can now be seen at The Bracknell Urgent Care Centre (8am-8pm daily) e.g. strains and sprains, broken bones, minor burns, minor eye symptoms, bites and stings.

If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111.

NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.

Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.

If you need help with your appointment

Please tell us:

  • if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
  • if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
  • if you need an interpreter
  • if you have any other access or communication needs

Home visits

We request that every effort is made to attend the practice as more comprehensive care can be given in a clinical setting.

Home Visits are made at the discretion of the doctor, and are for patients who are too unwell to attend the surgery.

If you request a Home Visit one of our Doctors will ring you to discuss your condition further and will arrange for you to be seen if required. Home Visits will be made by a Paramedic or a GP.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible.

Extended Access

Additional routine evening , Saturday & Sunday appointments are now available with GPs and Practice Nurses in Bracknell and Ascot. Appointments are pre-booked and can be booked through your usual GP surgery.

Please note this service cannot accept walk-in patients.
