A message from Nurse Jennifer regarding travel forms

Please can we remind patients who are travelling to allow both themselves, and our team, plenty of time to process travel forms and book the appropriate appointments.

We have had an increase in patients providing us with travel forms, who are due to travel very soon.

This is tricky for the nursing team to action in a short space of time for both processing the form as well as getting the patient in for an appointment, as the nurses are booked up in advance for many other reasons.

Also most travel vaccines take 4 weeks for any immune response.

Can we ask all patients if you are due to travel can you please do the following:

Allow our nursing team plenty of time to process and action the travel forms

Plan ahead, if you are due to travel in a few weeks this is tricky to action your form as well as get you an appointment before you are due to leave

Ensure you’re giving yourself enough time between having the vaccinations and travelling
