Doctors
Our doctors work in a partnership. Although you are registered with a named doctor, you may see any of the doctors in the practice.
Whenever possible, we will arrange an appointment with the Doctor of your choice. At times, it may not be possible to do this and you will be offered an appointment with one of the other Doctors.

Doctors in Training
Biddulph Valley Surgery is a training practice. GP Specialty Trainees work with the Practice for four to twelve months. These doctors are hospital trained and have been qualified doctors for a number of years. During the time at the practice they learn to apply their skills within the community.
We hope you will be happy for these Doctors to play a part in your care, but if you have any concerns about this, please inform the Receptionist and we will respect your wishes. They are always supervised by a qualified GP and they will be able to consult him/her whenever the need arises.
Medical Students
We are a teaching practice for Keele University medical students and are proud to be involved in training tomorrow’s doctors. As a result, students may lead or observe your appointment.
If you would rather not see medical students, please inform reception. Your care will in no way be affected by this.
Please note, we will always inform you on booking your appointment if a medical student is going to be observing or leading your appointment.
