Appointments Information

How do I make an appointment?

We offer an appointments system for the Doctors which can be booked in advance by telephone or online, however we also offer same day urgent appointments whereby you would need to ring the surgery at 8:30am.

Staff will do their best to book patients with the Doctor or Nurse of the patient’s first choice, but this is not always possible, especially when locums are covering for absent Doctors.

Telephoning for results and general enquiries

We would request that any patients telephoning for results of investigations or routine enquiries please telephone after 12:00 noon.

Nurse appointments – a range of nurse appointments are available each weekday morning and afternoon. These can be pre-booked in advanced via the reception desk or via telephone.

Please be aware that the receptionist will need to ask the reason for the appointment in order to allocate the correct nurse and the correct amount of time.

Home Visits

Home visits are strictly reserved for the housebound or terminally ill only; if you require a home visit then please telephone the practice before 11.00am (where possible).

All requests for visits will be triaged by the Doctor on call and you may be encouraged to attend the surgery, where the best care can be provided. Specialist equipment is located at the practice and tests or examinations can be carried out more easily at the surgery.
