Healthcare advice and treatment on your local high street and NHS 111 online – the health services you need to know over Easter weekend

As the Easter bank holiday approaches, we are reminding people of the healthcare services available over Easter weekend and how to access them. Pharmacies are a good place to start for a variety of health matters from the NHS Health Checks, to smoking cessation, as well as managing medicines. Pharmacists can also help with a range of conditions such as diarrhoea, colds and coughs, cystitis, skin rashes and hay fever. Some pharmacies have the added advantage of being open when GP practices are closed and not just for bank holidays. There may be changes to normal opening hours over Easter so please check before you go.
