This is a free service for anyone living in South Birmingham. You can call to book an appointment or just turn up to see a GP or Nurse. It is open 8am to 8pm, 7 days a week. NHS Walk-in centres provide fast and convenient NHS treatment. You can see a doctor or nurse who provide a full service including treatment of minor ailments and injuries such as cuts, bruises, minor infections, sprains, strains and skin complaints
2. Out of Hours Service – 111
NHS 111 is here to make it easier and quicker for patients to get the right advice or treatment they need, be that for their physical or mental health. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
To get help from NHS 111, you can go online to 111.nhs.uk (for assessment of people aged 5 and over only) OR call 111 for free from a landline or mobile phone.
3. NHS Direct
Offers confidential health advice and information by telephone, on the internet and through digital TV, 24 hours a day. You can call NHS Direct on 0845 4647 to speak to a triage nurse or visit nhsdirect.nhs.uk, Freeview channel 108 or page 2 on Sky Digital interactive service. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

4. Accident and Emergency
The nearest A+E is at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Edgbaston. B15 2WB A+E departments treat people with critical or life threatening problems, like head injuries, suspected heart attacks, serious illnesses or injuries.
