Patients that have had blood tests, CT scans, MRIs and/or X-rays requested by our GPs and Clinicians, will have their results sent back to us in due time.
Blood tests results usually take up to a week to come back.
The time required for scans results to report back, unfortunately, vary between case to case, usually taking a couple of weeks.
When they are back to the surgery, the results are given to the GPs to review. When the GP have reviewed the results, they will leave a comment whether it is normal or abnormal.
You may not receive a call or message if the results come back normal but if there are any abnormalities in the results, our reception staff will contact yourselves as soon as.
If you would like to know if your results are here or what your results, there a few ways to find out:
- You can call the surgery any time after 10am. Please note our reception staff can only notify you if the results are marked as Normal or Abnormal. If you require specific details, you will need to speak to a medical professional such as a GP or Nurse, depending on the test.
- You can view your results online via NHS App or Patient Access App. Both will tell you if the results came back normal or not but also show you the specific details about your results. This includes what your results were last time.
To learn more about the apps, check out our “Online Services” page.
