How do I order my Repeat Prescription?

Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:

Non-urgent advice: Notice

Please allow at least 1 working day for telephone and surgery requests, and 3 working days for postal requests.

A prescription will normally last for one month, except in special circumstances. The doctor will review medication periodically and may not authorise further prescriptions if a patient fails to attend for a review.

Help Us To Help You!

We pride ourselves on processing your prescription requests as promptly as possible, more often than not, on the same day.

However, please be aware it could take up to 1 working day for the pharmacy to order stock and prepare the daily prescription requests.

However if you need your medication urgently the pharmacy will endeavour to help you.

Prescription Fees

View the cost of prescriptions at NHS: Prescription Charges.

You can also find out if you are entitled to free prescriptions by visiting NHS: Who can get free prescriptions.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS)

The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is a NHS service that allows us to send your prescription(s) directly to your chosen pharmacy. This paper-free prescription service means that you do not have to come into the surgery to collect your prescription.

We encourage all patients to register for this free service.
