Surgery Availability

If our phone lines are very busy, you will be asked if you would prefer to use our ‘Call Back Service’.  This will allow you to hold your place in the queue and once it comes to your position, our telephone system will automatically call you back and put you through to one of our reception team.

NHS 111

This service will operate from 6.30pm – 8.00am on weekdays and 24 hours at weekends and on Public Holidays.

To access this service ring 111 where an assessment will be made by an experienced Triage Nurse. You will then be either given advice over the telephone, a home visit, an appointment at Northwich Infirmary NEW Centre or Leighton Hospital, or referred to a Community Pharmacist or other services.

EMERGENCIES

If you have an emergency and if a Doctor is not available immediately, please make use of the EMERGENCY AMBULANCE SERVICE by dialling 999.

For urgent problems during surgery hours, please telephone 01606 544644. Surgery hours are between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Friday. In an emergency outside the surgery hours, please telephone 111 between 6.30 pm and 8.00 am, or the surgery number where you will automatically be put through to ‘Out of Hours’.

NHS Direct

In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 and speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

On these days the practice closes for dedicated learning time. The morning surgery is running as normal and we close at 1pm and reopen at 5pm.
