Meet the Team

The Practice Nurses run the following Health Promotion Clinics; Diabetic Clinic – Diet and Health Clinic Look After Your Heart Clinic – Rheumatology Clinic Hypertension Clinic – Well Person Clinic Smoking Cessation Clinic – Cervical smears Adult or Travel Immunisation – Asthma Clinic The Practice Nurses also undertake new patient registration medicals as well as general health checks for patients over 75 years of age.

Healthcare Assistants are able to undertake blood pressure checks, smoking cessation advice, ECGs and 24 hour blood pressure monitoring, alcohol advice and spirometry.

We employ 18 staff, some part-time. All our receptionists, administration staff and secretaries have been trained and many of them are very experienced. They have a great deal of information at their finger tips and could probably answer many of your queries. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence. If you are unsure whether to consult a Doctor, Nurse or Health Visitor, the receptionist will e able to advise you. If you are in doubt about anything, ask the receptionist. If she does not know the answer she will ask someone who does. Please rest assured that the rules of confidentiality apply equally to all Practice staff. A brief explanation of your problem may enable them to suggest the right person for advice, or offer the most suitable appointment.

District Nurses (f)

Our team of District Nurses hold treatment room sessions at the Practice each week day morning and visit those in the community who are unable to come to the Practice

Health Visitors (f)

Our health visitors are trained professionals who specially care for the needs of the young and elderly, expectant mums and young families. They also hold post-natal and menopause support groups.
