Non-urgent advice: Test Results
Current wait times:
Blood, urine, stool samples – usually within 72 working hours – this can be exceeded dependent on the request
X-ray – routine results minimum of 4 weeks
MRI – minimum of 4 weeks
USS – minimum of 1 week
Other samples – 3+ weeks
Where possible Radiology aspire to achieve faster turnaround times, which is often the case where capacity allows for a quicker turnaround.
Getting your test results
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- In your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) – preferred
- Complete an online results query form using our online service: Online Request Form
- Call the surgery on 01625 617300
- Visit the surgery in person
We will only contact you if there are any actions needed following on from the results.
If you wish to discuss your test results but we have not contacted you then you can make an appointment by:

Our data protection and confidentiality policy mean we can only give results to the patient themselves without prior permission.

Blood Tests are done on the 1st floor of Waters Green Medical Centre if booked using the above link/number.
