The Primary Care Collaborative is a combined voice for dentistry, general practice, optometry, and pharmacy, working together to improve people’s health across North East England and North Cumbria.
We work together to solve problems, influence decisions, and share good ideas for the primary care workforce, for patients, and for the NHS itself.
We recognise and understand the challenges faced across primary care. We also understand the potential and power our primary care workforce holds to radically impact the health of individuals and populations.
We are determined to become a trusted partner to you, whatever your primary care role. We’re here to consult with you, listen to your experiences and views, and represent them honestly.

Our relationship to the NHS
We are supported by the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (NENC ICB), the regional NHS organisation responsible for planning health services for the local population.
However, we are an independent collaborative. We are working to ensure that the perspective of those working in primary care is considered and valued at every level of decision making.
