This also gives an opportunity to meet you personally and put “names to faces”and so that you know where to find us. Please bring a sample of urine with you (bottles are available from reception).

Laboratory Specimens

Specimens requiring analysis are sent to the hospital laboratories by regular van runs which leave the Health Centre at approximately 11 am and 3 pm. Please ensure that samples are handed in well in advance of these times in order for our staff to prepare them for transit. Please try to avoid sending samples on a Friday afternoon. If you are asked to come for a blood test it is always best to attend in the morning. Specimens are collected at the Community Desk.

IUDs (Coil clinic)

Dr Mitchell provides this service for the practice. These clinics take place once a month and there may be a waiting list for this. Please discuss this with a GP or Practice Nurse in the first instance.
