Routine Appointments

How do I submit a request? (Routine and “same day”)

To submit a request, please click on the above “submit a new request” button or click here to request an appointment online.

We are now using a new appointment system and we will be offering on the day and pre-bookable face to face and telephone appointments.

To contact the practice, please click the above “submit a new request” button from 07:30 am Monday to Friday (Excluding bank holidays). Please note, requests will be suspended for the day if we become full to capacity.

You can make your requests at the front desk or over the phone but we encourage people to use the NHS app or go online to avoid the need to wait in the phone queue.

The practice team will triage all requests as quickly as possible and aim to respond within 24 hours (usually the same day). You will be contacted by the admin team to arrange an appointment. You may be asked for more information to allow the Triage Team to book the most suitable appointment. If your request has been triaged as “Urgent – same day”, you will be offered an appointment the same day. The Triage GP may also triage your request and offer an appointment within 14 working days, depending on the level of urgency.

The Triage Team may also signpost you to another service if this is deemed more suitable.

If a request is submitted on the last working day of the week, then the response may be received on the next working day.

What do I do if I am unable to submit a request online?

If you are unable to submit a request online, please call the surgery for assistance on 0161 998 3206.

If you feel you would benefit from being shown how to submit a request on your smart phone / tablet, please come into the surgery where a member of the team will be happy to help.

How do I book an enhanced hours appointment?

If you need an appointment with a GP or Nurse but you are unable to book within normal practice hours, we can book you an appointment with our enhanced hours team in the local area. These appointments are available 7 days a week in the evenings and weekends.

Please state on the appointment request that enhanced hours is preferred, and the Triage Team will contact you to arrange this.

These appointments are held at local practices including Northenden Group Practice.

How do I make an appointment with the Nursing team?

You can book appointments with our Nursing team by calling reception, coming into the surgery, using the self-book links when we invite you in for appointments or by completing an online request.
