If you are not registered with a doctor but need to see one, you can receive emergency treatment for 14 days. After 14 days you will need to register as a temporary or permanent patient.

To register as a temporary resident you will need to contact the surgery and complete and return this form

You can register as a temporary resident with a GP in England if you are in the area for longer than 24 hours, but less than three months.

Newly registered patients will be assigned a named GP at the surgery. Our system is to rotate the named GP accepting new patients at Bowland Road. Patients are free to book an appointment with any of the doctors. If you want to have a specific named GP then please inform our practice manager. If you wish to book an appointment with a specific GP we can arrange this but there may be a slightly longer waiting time. It is not possible to over a same day urgent appointment with a specific GP but all the healthcare professionals at the GP surgery have access to the electronic health record and can see previous consultations.
