Wheelchair Access
The Surgery has been specially designed to make it easier for disabled patients to visit. There are no steps at the entrance of the building giving patients easy access. Due to fire regulations, we do have heavy fire doors, however if you have trouble opening these please ask Reception for assistance as they are always happy to help.

There is one dedicated disabled car parking spaces available immediately outside the back entrance of The Surgery.

We have a disabled toilet on the ground floor.

Disabled Parking – Blue Badge Scheme
The Blue Badge scheme is for people with severe mobility problems. It allows Blue Badge holders to park close to where they need to go.

Loop System
We have a loop induction system at the reception desk to assist the hearing impaired.

Out of Hours

We close for staff meetings and training between 12.30 and 13.30 Monday to Friday, but we take calls during that time too so if there is an emergency, we will deal with it as soon as possible.

If needed, patients can ring the back door in an absolute emergency.

Non-urgent advice: When We Are Closed

We have an arrangement with an out-of-hours provider called Go to Doc to take your emergency calls after 18:00, at weekends and on public holidays. Please call the usual surgery number and you will be diverted to the service.

24 hour medical advice is also available from NHS111, just dial 111 for assistance.

Cancellation of Appointment
Please note that patients CAN NOW contact the extended access service on this number: 0161 470 7025  to leave a cancellation message

You will be asked for your name, DOB, the time/ Date/ Location of your appointment and this will come through to our team as a recorded message.

Walk-in Centres
Walk-in centres offer fast access to health advice and treatment. They are open to anyone on a drop-in basis and provide minor treatments, information about local health services and self-help advice.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
