Appointments

Urgent Appointment

If you need a same-day appointment please phone us on 0161 624 5457. We have a daily triage service. It is for all patients who request a same-day appointment or doctor advice.

This means that each day (Monday-Friday) there will be a named doctor who will act as the Doctor On Call. All patients requesting a same-day appointment or advice will be put on a list for the Doctor On Call to speak to. The Doctor On Call will not see any routine patients. If there is a clinical need the patient will get an appointment later that day or the following day.

This allows us to be responsive to need. We can give appropriate advice for patients with self-limiting infections.

This system means that all patients who have a medical need can be offered a same-day appointment.

Routine Appointment

To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:

  • phone us on 0161 624 5457, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.

Home Visits

On average, visiting you takes four times longer than seeing you in the surgery. We also cannot offer the same range of medical services at your home. Home visits are only for patients who are housebound due to illness or disability.

If you think you may not be well enough to attend the surgery, please contact reception before 11 a.m. for advice.

The service is provided at South Chadderton Health Centre, Eaves Lane, Chadderton OL9 8RG.

Your Appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • on a video call
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

How long will my appointment be?

All appointments are 10 minutes long.

Be on time!

Please arrive in good time for your appointment. The doctors may refuse to see a patient who is more than 10 minutes late.
