Life Threatening Emergencies
In a life threatening emergency such as sudden severe chest pain, severe breathlessness, loss of power in a limb, loss of consciousness or severe bleeding dial 999.
Injuries
The surgery is equipped to treat minor injuries like small cuts and joint sprains. If the injury is more severe or may involve a broken bone then you should attend the Accident and Emergency (A&E) Department at the following hospital:

- Manchester Royal Infirmary, telephone 0161 276 1234.
- North Manchester General Hospital, telephone 0161 795 4567.
Also in the event of poisoning or overdose the attend A&E

If you have an urgent medical problem you can:

The receptionists will ask you a couple of questions, then you will be given a time to come down and see a Healthcare Professional.
For urgent or emergency appointments and home visits you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice.

Available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The online service is for people aged 5 years and over only.
Urgent Dental Care
If you need help with an urgent dental problem, call Greater Manchester Health & Social Care Partnership Urgent Dental Care Service on 0333 332 3800, available from 8am to 10pm every day, including weekends and bank holidays.
Please note:
- The above number should NOT be used by patients who have a regular dentist during normal surgery hours.
- This is an appointment only service – the Urgent Dental Care providers do not operate a ‘drop-in’ service at any Greater Manchester locations.
- Each one off urgent dental care appointment is a fixed NHS patient charge of Band 1, which is currently £23.80. This fee shall be paid each time you access Urgent Dental Care Services.
