Order Repeat Medication

Option 1

Patient Services Portal

Patient Services enables you to see and order your prescriptions online. Once you register, you will receive further instructions on how to get logged on. Patient Services is available to over 16 only and each patient must have their own email address. It is fiddly but is a superior service. Alternatively please use the prescription request form below which is simpler.

Option 2

Repeat Prescription Request Form

Repeat Prescription Request Form

Please write your medication exactly as it is prescribed on the box. This form should be used mainly for medications on repeat prescription. You may list medications not on your repeat prescription (Special requests) however the request may be declined or we may need to contact you for further information.

This form collects your name, date of birth, email, other personal information and medical details. This is to confirm you are registered with the practice, to allow the practice team to contact you and also to update your medical records held by the practice and our partners in the NHS. Please read our privacy policy to discover how we protect and manage your submitted data.

Option 3

In Writing

Alternatively, you may use your paper re-order form. Please clearly mark which medications you require and post the form through our letterbox.

Telephone

We cannot accept telephone requests. This is often the most convenient way for most patients, however we hope you understand that we wish to minimise errors.

Collection

Your prescription will automatically be collected by Well Pharmacy for Kirkliston and Newbridge patients and Right Medicine for Winchburgh patients. The pharmacy will then order and supply you with your medications.

When will my prescription be ready?

Please allow 5 working days from ordering your medication before you collect from the pharmacy. Please check with your pharmacy if your prescription is ready and NOT the practice. We will usually write your prescription within 48 hours of your request however we have no control over the actual dispensing of your medication. Sometimes the the pharmacy will not have a certain type of medicine in stock and will therefore need to order it in which is a common and understandable cause for delay.
