Peer Support for Early Stage Dementia in Angus
Posted on:
- Are you worried about your memory and think you might be developing dementia?
- Are you worried about a friend or family member’s memory or behaviour changes?
- Are you actively supporting someone with dementia?
Nobody should face dementia alone. Our Angus wide peer support network aims to bring people together, both those with a diagnosis and carers, to give them an opportunity to have their voices heard and to receive vital support with sustaining their quality of life.
We have monthly informal meetings set up at Meeting Centres throughout Angus – Kirrie Connections, Arbroath Connections and Jars Community Hub (Brechin) with plans to expand in Forfar and Montrose.
Our schedule is as follows:
- Kirrie Connections (The Roods, Kirriemuir) – Second Monday of the month 1.30pm -3pm (starting 13th January)
- Arbroath Connections (Russell Square, Arbroath) – First Tuesday of the month 3.30pm – 5pm (Starting 4th February)
- Brechin (Jars Community Hub) – First Thursday of the month 11am-2pm (starting 6th February)
Come along to receive information, support from people facing similar challenges, and make connections with others.
