Battersea Primary Care Network (PCN) is a vibrant and diverse healthcare organisation dedicated to providing exceptional primary care in North Battersea. We are a network of five GP practices serving a community of over 57,000 patients and working together to build a healthier Battersea.
Our core values are collaboration, innovation, and a deep commitment to health equity. We believe in empowering patients to take charge of their well-being.
We share resources to develop and manage teams of healthcare professionals who provide comprehensive, excellent care. These include:
- Care Coordinators
- Community Health and Wellbeing Workers
- First Contact Physiotherapists
- Health and Wellbeing Coaches
- Mental Health Professionals
- Paramedics
- Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians
- Physician Associates
- Social Prescribers
Our Values in Action:
- Equity: We aim to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment for both staff and patients. Our Community Health and Wellbeing Worker (Brazil Model) project, empowering local residents to become health advocates within their communities, is a prime example of our commitment to healthcare equity. All our practices hold Pride in Practice awards supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. All practices are also registered Safe Surgeries, committed to reducing barriers that may prevent migrant, homeless and other communities from accessing healthcare.
- Collaboration: Battersea PCN team works collaboratively with local healthcare and community partners such as Enable, Community Empowerment Network, St. George’s NHS Trust, Surrey Physio and South West London and St. George’s Mental Health Trust to employ staff and run projects.
- Innovation: We embrace new models of care that address the unique needs of our diverse community. Our Children and Young Person Clinic is a testament to this, offering a unique approach to supporting young people’s mental, emotional, and social well-being.
What is a Primary Care Network?
A primary care network is a group of practices who work together to focus on local patient care. They’ve been around since 2019. Over 99% of practices across England now work as part of one.
By working together, practices can provide a wider range of healthcare staff and services, and give patients more personalised care.
